Case Study

Objective

Achieve goals with ease and enjoyment.

Many people, especially those with executive functioning difficulties, struggle to stay organized and productive in the face of complex tasks.
Despite the availability of tools that assist with daily tasks, users still face the challenge of staying consistent and motivated.

Solution

To create easy-to-use tool that breaks down overwhelming tasks into manageable steps.
The result is an intuitive and rewarding user experience that reduces stress
and encourages efficient task completion.
The app includes personalized= task creation features and uses game-like
elements and techniques to increase user engagement and motivation in non-game applications.

Drawing inspiration from the best

We've taken inspiration from the best apps on the market Forest, Duolingo, Addie and Calendly - to create an innovative solution tailored to users' needs.

None of these apps offers the ability to break tasks into smaller steps, which is our key feature, setting us apart from the rest.

User Interviews + Usability Testing

  • Research goals:
Identify the specific challenges and needs of our target users.
Evaluate the usability and effectiveness of our app's preliminary wireframes and prototypes.
Understand how users interact with the app in real-world scenarios.
Collect feedback on proposed features and functionalities.

  • Target Users:
Individuals who struggle with organizing and completing tasks.
Those who experience overwhelm, anxiety, or executive function difficulties.
People who already use task productivity tools, always in search for better product.

Outcome

Reflections, my role and collaboration

We worked as a team of two, UX Researcher Aleksandra Stachowicz and I.

Our goal was to create an app that goes beyond mere task management, empowering users to "Get Sh*t Done." Currently, the app is in the hands of developers, and we're gathering traction to demonstrate its market potential

My responsibilities

  • Feature discovery

  • Market Research

  • Information Architecture

  • User Flow

  • Style Guide

  • Accessibility

  • Building a responsive prototype Lo-fi/ Hi-fi

  • Presentation

Working on our latest app has been incredibly fulfilling, even though it was initially meant to be a portfolio project. By accident, we ended up creating a fully developed, market-ready app.

To collaborate, we use Figma, Fig Jam, Trello and Google Meets.
